Gallery Wall Buying Guide
We knew that our customer was interested in gallery wall installations, but we also knew the task of putting one together could be very daunting. In partnering with our SEO team, we learned how often our customer was googling and searching for advice on how to put one together themselves. We used this information to create a shoppable, inspirational, and SEO optimized guide that our customer could use to design their own gallery wall.
In order to rank well with google, the article would need to be more than 1,000 words. While accounting for that word count, I did not want to lose any visual inspiration, so I designed a layout that uses both photography and large form text in one viewport. I took advantage of a strong grid and a clear typographic hierarchy to ensure the reader does not get lost or overwhelmed.
Knowing that the page will be long, I was sure to implement anchor links at the top of the page that would take the customer to a particular section. I also wanted to make sure the customer was easily able to skim through our content, so I chose a line-height and line-length ratio that promoted readability.
